Gao Yong Glass & Aluminium was founded in December 1996 with a vision to deliver quality glass and aluminium solutions across Johor. As the business grew, we established our first showroom in Puteri Wangsa, marking an important milestone in our journey and providing customers with a dedicated space to explore our products and services.
For many years, the Puteri Wangsa showroom served as a symbol of our commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction. It played a significant role in building the trust and long lasting relationships that continue to support our growth today.
In May 2026, we officially closed our Puteri Wangsa showroom as part of our company’s expansion. This milestone marked the beginning of a new chapter as we relocated to our upgraded flagship showroom in Taman Perindustrian Cemerlang, offering a larger display area, enhanced customer experience, and a wider showcase of our latest glass and aluminium solutions.

Over the past 20 years of his business journey, Dato’ Chin Kim Leong has faced two major crises: the 1997 financial crisis and the Covid-19 pandemic. The 1997 financial crisis occurred in the early days of Gao Yong’s establishment. At that time, the stock market crashed, housing prices plummeted, and the national economy declined significantly. Many people lost their jobs or businesses closed down, and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on society was even greater.
The secret of Dato’ Chin Kim Leong’s success lies in his continuous learning and adaptability. He believes that leaders must keep learning and remain flexible, especially as technology evolves rapidly. He actively introduces new technologies and products into Malaysia to improve the standards of the glass and aluminium industry.
Gao Yong Glass & Aluminium Works Sdn Bhd is a glass and aluminium solutions provider in Malaysia since 1996. Gao Yong has been continuously upgraded and developed under the leadership of the founder, Dato’ Chin Kim Leong. It has grown from a team of five people in the early days to a company with more than 50 employees. It owns two showrooms in Taman Desa Cemerlang and Taman Puteri Wangsa to display various glass and aluminium handmade products to customers.
